Mrs Furr’s K4 students sort, count and graph using goldfish crackers.
Eighth grader Mason Thigpen participated in an author study for his English class. As part of the assignment, he had to pick an author and read two books by that author. Mason knew right away which author he would study, Christopher Greyson. He had read Greyson’s book, The Girl Who Lived, and absolutely loved it! He chose to read Mr. Greyson’s two other books, Jack Frost and Then She was Gone for the assignment. He enthusiastically shared these books in presentations during Mrs. Pund’s class. The last part of the book study was to write to the author. Mason wrote a letter to the author and got an almost immediate reply. The author was so impressed by Mason’s enthusiasm; he sent him an autographed hardcover copy of the book that started it all, The Girl Who Lived. Mason plans on donating his paperback copy of the book to our school library so more students will be able to enjoy the author’s work.
Monday was an exciting day for the BA sophomores. They were presented with their class rings!
