SCORES AND HIGHLIGHTS

The Bucs finished 2nd and the Lady Bucs finished 3rd in the track meet Wednesday, April 14 against Gatewood, Brentwood, Monsignor Donovan, Bethlehem Christian, Windsor, John Hancock, Fullington, and Twiggs.

1st place finishers:

Savannah Hopkins- high jump 4’8

4X100M relay team- Grace Bridges, Makenzie Newsome, Taylor VanHouse, Ashley Nail

Jacob Hackenberry- 3200m run – 12:28

Dax Reese – shot put- 41’2, High Jump—5’9, 110 M high hurdles- 16.72 seconds

Tucker Lord- Pole vault-- 10’

2nd place finishers:

Kennedy Mosley- triple jump – 29’3

Makenzie Newsome- pole vault- 6’6

Taylor VanHouse- 200M dash- 28.8 seconds

Gage Taylor- high jump- 5’9, 300m Hurdles- 45.02 seconds

Tucker Purvis- triple jump 39’6

3rd place finishers:

Kennedy Mosley- 400M – 70.49 seconds

Tucker Lord- 800M run- 2:19

The Varsity Bucs baseball team defeated TJA at home last Thursday with a final score of 4-2. The Bucs beat EBA on Tuesday with a final score of 3-1.

The JV Bucs defeated Community Christian Academy on Saturday with a final score of 10-6.

The Lady Bucs soccer team lost to Gatewood last Thursday night with a score of 7-0. The Lady Bucs lost to Augusta Prep on Tuesday night.

The Mighty Bucs softball team won on Monday night against Glascock County with a final score of 18-13.

A job well done by the Briarwood Bucs track teams that participated in Region track on Wednesday. The Briarwood boys track team was named the GISA 4-AA Region Runner-Up!

Honors chemistry with Mrs. Sheppard-

Collecting data to graph the phase changes of water and calculate heat energy.

K4 students enjoyed having some furry visitors last week as they learned about pets.

A surprise visitor, The McDuffie News Hound, dropped by from The McDuffie Progress on Friday and visited our upper elementary students! We appreciate our partnership with The McDuffie Progress and their support of BA!

Congratulations to Seth and Copeland Price Starling (BA Class of 2014) on their recent marriage. Copeland and Seth's wedding was held on St. Simons Island on April 17, 2021. Copeland is employed with Advantage Medical in St. Simons Island, GA. The Starlings will reside in Waycross, GA.
